If you missed Danny's FREE All-City Tour of Taking Over in the boros (Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx) in October at the Hip-Hop Theater Festival, you can now see it at New York City's Public Theater from Nov 7 through Dec 14.

Danny continues to perform a repertory of his solo work in Hip-Hop Theatre 101 both nationally and
internationally, which still serves as an exciting introductory performance
for the many out there still unfamiliar with the term "Hip-Hop
Theatre".

Danny's large-scale play Till The Break
Of Dawn finished up a successful run in New York City this past
fall, produced by The Culture Project and Hip-Hop Theater Festival and
presented at Abrons Arts Center in Lower Manhattan. No word yet whether the
show will move to Broadway or not.

HHTF 2008! The Hip-Hop Theater Festival which Danny Hoch founded in
2000 is now entering its 8th year celebrating a variety of Hip-Hop Theater
works from all over the US and the world. Look for it in Chicago, SF/Oakland,
NYC and Washington, DC. For more info go to: www.hiphoptheaterfest.com

Mr. Hoch has translated Jails, Hospitals &
Hip-Hop into Spanish having recently performed in Spain, Mexico,
Argentina and Chile. But he's having a hard time finding a Spanish-Language
publishing deal, as many Spanish-language publishers just understand Hip-Hop
as music.

Speaking of books, Mr. Hoch is finishing his 3rd book which
will consist of his last full-length play Till The Break Of Dawn
accompanied by a collection of his unpublished Hip-Hop writings.
Mr. Hoch's writing can also be found in Total Chaos, an anthology on the art and aesthetics of
Hip-Hop edited by Jeff
Chang. Total Chaos features some of the most influential
artists that are using a Hip-Hop approach to performance, theater, dance,
visual arts, design, literature, criticism and more.

On the Hollywood front, Mr. Hoch can be seen in the
upcoming Adam Rapp film Blackbird as well as the recent Curtis
Hanson film Lucky You, starring Drew Barrymore and Eric
Bana, as well as We Own The Night, appearing alongside Joaquin
Phoenix, Eva Mendes, Mark Wahlberg and Robert Duvall.

Danny Hoch's award-winning film Jails,
Hospitals & Hip-Hop is available on DVD! His performances on Def
Poetry can also be seen on the Def Poetry DVD. White Boys is now
available on DVD as well.
